Therapy is defined as treatment by a licensed practitioner for a physical or mental disorder. An example of therapy is a course of physical exercises for a walking disability, or a diagnosis of a disorder that is treated by a licensed psychotherapist.
Coaching is about improvement, often enhancement of life experience. Anyone working with deep trauma or other “disorders” may benefit from coaching, but only with additional assistance from a therapist who is well-versed in treatment of trauma.
