A healthy mental & emotional immune system helps us stay healthy and in alignment every day. What is mental immunity? It’s the ability of your mind to have a healthy relationship with thoughts and ideas you come into contact with from both external and internal sources.
External sources of ideas and thoughts are what you might expect: news sources (TV, internet, digital and print magazines, newspapers, blogs, podcasts) and other people (family, work colleagues, strangers, etc.).

Did you have mental and emotional inoculations as a child? Is your mental immune system able to support your testing, and processing of new information? An overactive (protective) mental immune system not letting anything in, can be just as problematic as an under-active (non-protective) mental immune system that lets everything in.
What is mental immunity?
“Mental immunity is a mind’s resistance to bad [unhealthy, destructive] ideas. If a skilled thinker is resistant to a certain kind of propaganda, we can say that she has strong immunity to that propaganda. This means her susceptibility to that propaganda is low. (Immunity and susceptibility are two sides of the same coin.) On the other hand, a small child might be prone to believe in tooth fairies, which means he has limited immunity to ideas about tooth fairies” – Andy Norman, Ph.D
Mental immunity is the healthy mind’s ability to evaluate and work with new ideas testing them for evidentiary support in their life and ability to research propositions and ideas.
